Instructions for Blog #2

I hope by now you have completed your first Blog and have commented on two other blogs. Remember that you are commenting as your CHARACTER. NOT YOURSELF.

For your next blog, I would like you to look at where your character is at this point in the play. Are you still alive? Are you happy? Sad? Oblivious? Anxious?
Now I would like you to reflect on your characters’ feelings and why you (your character) feel that way. What is happening/ has happened in your life? What do you think is going to happen to you next? Why do you feel this way?
If you are Tybalt or Mercutio, you’re dead. Write your Blog from Heaven. Remember, you now know what is going on between Romeo and Juliet since you’re most likely watching the action from beyond the grave! How do you feel about this?

Your second Blog should be 2-3 paragraphs long. It is due Friday, October 28th.

Instructions for your first Blog Entry- Step Two

Once you have completed your blog, proofread for spelling and grammar and then publish it.

Once it is published, find two people in the class who are writing as different characters than you. "Follow" their blogs by adding them to your reading list. Then comment on each of their blogs as your character. (One paragraph comment per blog.)

Also, please give me the URL for your blog by posting it as a comment to this posting.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Instructions for your first Blog Entry

Your first blog should be divided into three chunks:

1) Re-cap the plot to this point in the play. Remember you are recalling the events from the perspective of your character!

2) Reflect on your reactions to the plot so far from the perspective of your character.

3) Your predictions and/or wishes for what will happen to you (aka your character) next.
